I have three goals as an instructor of undergraduate economics courses: (i) to challenge and guide my students through the required course material; (ii) to encourage inquiry into the workings of the market economy that they participate in every day; and (iii) to equip students with the foundational knowledge and analytical skills necessary to succeed in their future studies and employment. With these goals in mind, I make it a point to bring my personal experiences as a student of economics and as an economic consultant into lecture and to invite discussion of these experiences through the lens of relevant economic principles.
Additionally, just as undergraduate students commit to pushing their academic boundaries and learning on a daily basis, I consider myself a student of the teaching profession. To further improve my teaching abilities to the benefit of my students, completed my Certificate in College Teaching through CU Boulder's Graduate Teacher Program.
